Citizen Schools is glad
to return to United for Success
Academy for another great
year. Citizen Schools is a program that is dedicated to "Educating Youth
and Strengthening Communities" and through our dedicated staff and
volunteers we are committed to upholding our mission in the Oakland and UFSA communities. We are able to
educate youth and strengthen communities by providing our students with many
opportunities to grow academically and socially.
- Students in Citizen Schools work on homework daily and
school-curriculum based activities that provide them with academic
support
- Twice a week, students participate in apprenticeships, hands-on learning experiences where they are exposed to various career and college pathways by our dedicated community volunteers.
- Students also participate in explorations, community service and team building activities that help them grow socially and involve them in the community.
