I sent Citizen Schools my resume and cover letter.  How long will it be until I hear back from someone? 

You will receive an email confirmation within a week of submitting your application.  After that, you will hear back via phone or email within another ten days regarding your application status.

Can I send a resume without a cover letter?

A resume without a cover letter is considered an incomplete application. The only position that does not require a cover letter is the Team Leader position, though it is strongly encouraged that Team Leader candidates submit a cover letter.

How often are the jobs posted on the website updated? Is that information current? 

The jobs on the website are updated regularly and are usually added to the website on the same day that it is posted.  Jobs will be removed from the website within a week of being filled.

Yes, you can apply to multiple jobs with a separate cover letter and resume for each job.

Do I have to designate a particular position when I send a resume?

Yes.  In order for us to know where to direct your resume, you must specify the position that you are applying to.

Do I need to designate a city where I would like to work?

It is helpful to designate the city in which you would like to work, but if you are applying to a particular position and are open to the location, please specify that in your cover letter.

What is the standard hiring process for non-campus staff? 

The process varies from position to position, but all processes begin with a phone interview and will consist of one or two panel interviews, a written assignment, and a reference check.

Will a criminal background check be part of the hiring process? 

Yes. We will conduct a criminal background check on all of our staff either during the process or in the first few days of employment.
