Citizen Schools Celebration of Service

On Friday, June 23 Citizen Schools NY celebrated the incredible service of our AmeriCorps service members who are the heart and soul of the work we do in schools. It was a powerful evening for us to gather together and honor our AmeriCorps members many accomplishments and deepen our network strength! We are thankful to have a group of amazing service fellows that served our nearly 600 students day in and day out.  

Award Winners
 

Champion Award: Julianna Fellows

This award recognizes an AmeriCorps member who has consistently exhibited our CS values -- Joy, Respect, Courage, Perseverance, Pride, Teamwork & Vision. 

Emerging Leader Award: Vishnu Neppala 

This award goes to a Teaching Fellow (TF) that has been reflective of the TF experience and understands how skills gained, thus far, will propel them into being a greater leader on campus next year.

Excellence in Action Award: Adealya Rhodes

This award recognizes a second-year TF (TF2) who has excelled at bringing the Citizen Schools model to life in the classroom and in their leadership role.

Innovative Leader Award: Lauren O'Neal

This award is the highest honor for a second-year TF (TF2), recognizing an exemplary leader who has been innovative in increasing efficiency on campus.
