WOW!NOW Breakfast CSNY

This coming June, we will proudly celebrate student achievement at our first annual WOW!NOW benefit in New York and we would be honored if you would join us as a award recipient. We plan to host over 175 people, including business leaders, exemplar volunteers, students and their families. The WOW!NOW breakfast celebration will bring together the region’s leading companies including Google, EY, and Fidelity, who are passionate about education reform in our community.

Grab some friends and register a team to help raise funds for Citizen Schools programming in New York City.  All proceeds raised will directly increase the number of STEM apprenticeships, drive enhancements to our 8th Grade Academy program, and deepen our impact with 21st Century skill building.

Issue Education: A conversation on how to create meaningful opportunities for students in a highly segregated school system

Join Citizen Schools New York and Fidelity Investments to hear expert perspectives on important equity issues affecting our schools, students, and families. David Kirkland, Professor of English Education at NYU Steinhardt’s School of Education, Culture, and Human Development and Director of The Metropolitan Center for Research on Equity and the Transformation of Schools, and Carla Shedd, Assistant Professor of Sociology and African-American Studies at Columbia University, and David Baiz fourth-year principal and founding member of Global Technology Preparatory, public middle school in East Harlem will participate in a moderated discussion and Q&A on the equity challenges facing our students and school communities.
