Citizen Teacher: David

Teaching Fellow: Emily (MIT)

We learned about David’s career path and experience with writing. Students had the opportunity to ask him questions and talk about their own goals. We discussed various forms of writing, and the students had a great interest in comic books and poetry. We shared resources to create comic books online. David shared some original poems and talked about different writing styles and rhyming schemes. We had writing prompts, and students freely wrote and came up with the amazing poems below. We also talked about life in quarantine and protests.
