Citizen Teacher: Mr. Gene
Pencil Code is an exciting apprenticeship in which students learn how to create simple computer programs through Pencil Code, exploring the beginnings of CSS and HTML. Students code from the perspective of an artist, engineer, and designer. Each lesson is workshop-based, where students complete tasks outlined on cards, building understanding along the way of how to use, manipulate, and master various programming commands. Students create outlined projects and design unique innovations to the projects along the way.
Each student creates a WOW! Portfolio of their work, which you can check out below! Each portfolio features a project demonstrating various skills and showcases a final project of the student’s design that highlights their skills, interests, and creativity.

Racing Tag Game by Malachi (PS 157) Click image above to go to the site!
This game has the same concept as tag but there’s cars instead of people. Also, there is a score and a finish line. The goal of the blue car is a tag/stop the red car from reaching the finish line, each time the blue car tags/stops the red car, the red car is automatically teleported to a random position behind (0,0), the blue car gets 2 points (10 or more points to win). Every time the red car reaches the finish line it is rewarded with 2 points (10 or more points to win) then automatically teleported to a random position behind (0,0), the car the 10 or more points wins. (W, A, S, D, to move) Note: hold W when starting the game.
