Teaching Fellows: Ashley (WHCIS)

In DesignWorks, students learned how to think like a fashion designer and create designs using limited materials. They then used their creativity to create parts of an outfit, a masquerade mask, capes, fashion mood boards, swatches and learned about sustainability in the Fashion industry. Students participated in team design challenges such as a newspaper fashion show and toilet paper fashion show using only tape, newspaper or toilet paper and scissors. Our final project was our 10-minute design challenge and magazine cover. The goal of DesignWorks is for every student to create, appreciate their designs and have fun.
