In this club, students were exposed to many levels of engineering through programming and designing their own robot. Students were able to explore different coding and design techniques after school which exposed them to the STEM field. Also, they were able to design and code their robot to race against one another using different modes of movement. For example, some students created their robot to hop or gallop while others designed their robot to roll or glide. Students were able to assess their design for flaws or glitches and grow their design into something better which taught them to have a growth mindset. This club was operated by an Engineering teacher, parent volunteers and myself once a week after school. Lastly, this club was also facilitated virtually to provide students with a space to expand their knowledge on the STEM field.
