Fantasy and Sci-Fi gives students the opportunity to become creators. Using key elements of the fantasy and science fiction genres, students created fantastic stories, characters and worlds that push the limits of their imagination and reality. Though their stories were set in unfamiliar worlds, they reflected familiar lessons about things such as friendship, good and evil and family. Students had opportunities to draw, design, and talk about their magical worlds in a variety of artistic formats while participating in team-building activities in our Class Mulitiverse, like Collect the Kryptonite, Zombie Walk, and Hula Hoop Wormhole.
Daelie, Roodiana, and Sabrina argue over a plot of a story about a young witch who leaves school after finding out about her true identity, only to travel the world and time looking for a new friend who understands her.
Kenay creates a smartwatch that allows you to travel through time using voice commands. Simply put it on your wrist and tell Siri where to go. (Kenay mostly uses it to travel back in time to see dinosaurs, his favorite subject).
Jackson and Kamari role-play as two robots who are best friends for life (just like them).
Xavier creates a time traveling machine for a time traveler who explores different periods to change history.
Ryan makes a paper plate monster. He looks scary, but is actually a pretty nice guy who just wants to help other people.
